Aftercare Advice

Spray Tans

​

Before

  • It is advisable not to apply any type of perfume, deodorant, or aromatherapy oils on the day of treatment 

  • Waxing should be carried out 24 hours before your treatment to reduce sensitivity and for best results

  • The evening before or morning before your treatment, exfoliate your whole body, pay special attention to areas such as the knees, elbows, hands and feet

  • Wear dark, loose clothes and preferably no bra during development for best results. Tanning solution can stain light hair, man-made fibres and wool

  • Patch tests are needed regularly, before treatment​

After​

Your tan will begin to develop straight away

  • Do not bathe for a minimum of 8 hours after treatment, for best results leave on overnight, guide colour may stain bed linen

  • Avoid touching or rubbing the skin during the developmet period

  • Do not participate in any activity which may cause perspiration for a minimum of 12 hours

  • Avoid wearing restrictive clothing

  • Apply body moisturiser daily to keep your tan looking it's best, Tyrosine is the ingredient which activates melanin in the skin, ensuring it lasts as long as possible so bear this in mind when choosing your body moisturiser

  • Use a body polish or exfoliate every 2-3 days after treatment to ensure the tan fades evenly

  • Do not rub, but pat the skin dry after showering or bathing

  • Avoid swimming pools as chlorine can bleach your tan

  • Return in 1-2 weeks

Manicure, nail art & pedicure

​

  • Be careful with polish for 2 hours, nails will not be fully set for 24 hours

  • Never use the nails as tools, e.g. when cleaning, when pushing buttons etc. always use the fingertips and not the nails 

  • do not pick off polish

  • Apply top coat every 2-3 days to avoid chipping and so the polish lasts longer

  • Always wear gloves for cleaning, gardening and in cold weather to protect the hands and nails

  • Always dry hands thoroughly after washing and apply hand/foot and nail cream regularly, preferably with SPF protection

  • Use non acetone nail varnish remover as it is kinder to skin and nails, do not use remover more than once a week

  • Massage cuticle oil/cream into the cuticles regularly

  • Manicure/pedicure services are recommended weekly for best results

  • Gently push back cuticles with a towel or tipped orange wood stick after bathing/showering

  • Exfoliate the hands and feet once a week

Brow shape

​

  • Avoid very hot water for 24 hours after service

  • Do not touch the eye area

  • Do not apply make-up in the eye area for 24 hours

  • If the area is sore you can apply antiseptic cream, rose water for its calming properties or witch hazel for its antiseptic properties 

  • Return within 4-6 weeks for service

Lashes

​

  • Avoid rubbing or touching the eyes

  • Avoid mascara as it clogs the lashes, is difficult to remove without damaging the lashes and also damages the bond between the natural lash and the extension

  • Avoid extreme temperatures such as saunas as the lashes will become frizzy

  • Do not touch the lashes for at least 2 hours after application

  • Do not use oil based products as these will damage the bonds, instead use water based products

  • Avoid moisturiser in the eye area

  • After bathing/showering pat the lashes dry with a clean dry towel

  • Do not pull off or pick the lashes as this will destroy the natural lashes

  • Return within 2-4 weeks for treatment

  • Patch tests are needed regularly before treatment

Tinting

​

  • Do not rub the eye area following treatment, small amounts of tint can irritate the eyes

  • Return every 4 weeks for brow tinting, and every 6 weeks for lash tinting

  • Wearing sunglasses in strong sunlight will prolong the colour of the tint

  • Patch tests are needed regularly before treatment

Waxing

​

  • Do not bathe/shower in very hot water for 24 hours, instead use luke warm

  • No tanning, sauna or steam treatments

  • No sports, gym or exercise for 24 hours

  • Avoid touching the area

  • Wear clean loose fitting clothes

  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated water

  • Do not use deodorant or perfume in the waxed area

  • You may use an antiseptic cream in the waxed area if you wish
